Ancillary Medical Plans
Understanding the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
The Affordable Care Act also referred to as Obamacare, is designed to provide affordable healthcare through what is known as the marketplace. Those who qualify may receive income-related tax credits and subsidies by reducing monthly premiums, reducing copays, deductibles, and co-insurance. Many benefits are different from private medical plans, such as pre-existing conditions are accepted and coverage for children under 26 years old.
